Embodied Energy Studio is an Atlanta Collective of artists and scientists. The mission of Embodied Energy Studio is to establish relationships and work in collaboration with like minded community, professional, and financial partners to develop experiential public art that promotes positive environmental, social, cultural, and economic actions. Creating inquiry-based experiential public sculpture is an innovative strategy that provides interactive learning opportunities to a wide target audience. Members include Dena Light, Mike Wsol and Amandine Drouet.
Current Collections is our first project. Our interest in creating this sculpture came after Dena encountered a loose blanket of floating man-made debris while snorkeling off the coast of Indonesia. Knowing we are passionate about aquatic issues, a conversation was started and we realized as artists and scientists we wanted to create broader social engagement and shift public perception about the impact of litter with inquiry-based experiential public sculpture.
